Coop acquires Netto in Sweden

On 10 May 2019 it was announced that Coop Butiker & Stormarknader (“CBS”) had entered into an agreement with Danish Salling Group to acquire Netto Marknad Sverige. The transaction includes Netto’s store network in Sweden of 163 grocery stores and around 2,000 employees. Completion is subject to the approval of the Swedish Competition Authority.
